Codés 8000 is the game booklet for you — start up the grid and let’s go! Here, you get to decode words in order to find the answer to the puzzle. Over 148 pages of coded words are waiting for you in Codés 8000. And for even more fun, a bonus booklet is included.

Arrow and code words were born in Sweden. In 1969 that a linguist Jacques Capelovici imported them to France. Today, the game is increasingly successful and far surpasses its ancestors. For this reason, arrow words are also known as “Swedish arrow words”. The puzzles come in the form of a square crossword puzzle grid. This game helps you exercise a specific form of intelligence — the “linguistic”.

Puzzles can run horizontally or vertically. In France, two press publishers share the bulk of the crossword and arrow market for amateurs and enthusiasts, Megastar and Sport Cérébral Editions. The puzzles require a good general knowledge of subjects like literature, history, geography, and mythology.

    The confidential details you are asked to supply concerning your credit card are transmitted directly to the BNP Paribas Bank server. UNI-Presse does not have access to this information. When you click to confirm your order and to pay by credit card, you are connected directly to the payment site of BNP Paribas Bank. You will be asked to type in the 16 numbers of your credit card, the expiry date, and the final three numbers of the security code on the back of your card. Your payment is registered under a highly secure encrypted code on the BNP Paribas Bank site.

    If you are ordering a subscription for yourself, and another subscription for someone else, there is one single payment, whether by credit card or by cheque, for both subscriptions.
