Le Figaro’s Weekend Package brings together the best of the weekend editions of the daily newspaper, founded in 1826, in a single subscription. Rather than following the news day by day, you receive the week’s most comprehensive editions, along with the magazine supplements for which the publication is renowned. Politics, economics, social debates, and in-depth reporting are featured alongside culture, lifestyle, and leisure. It’s a thoughtful way to step back from current events for the duration of a weekend, through the writing of established columnists in the French press.
What’s Included in the Package
The weekend package includes the newspaper and its special sections. Specifically, you’ll receive:
- Friday and Saturday editions of Le Figaro: the two most comprehensive editions, featuring in-depth analysis and special supplements.
- Le Figaro Magazine: investigations, in-depth interviews, and feature stories on current issues.
- Madame Figaro: fashion, culture, society, and profiles, presented with great care.
- TV Magazine : the TV schedule and broadcasting news, for France only.
- Digital access: the digital version provided by the publisher, so you can read it even before the print copy arrives.
À qui s’adresse-t-il et quel est son objectif ?
This format is aimed at readers who don’t have time to skim through a daily newspaper every morning but refuse to give up in-depth coverage. The weekend then becomes a time for in-depth reading: a major feature story, an economic investigation, or an interview that sheds light on a current debate.
Le Figaro takes a clearly defined stance, and its readers value that. The appeal of the weekend edition lies in its balance between hard news and cultural content. On one hand, in-depth analysis of political and economic developments; on the other, fashion, the arts, gastronomy, and travel featured in the magazines. For those who want more, the Club edition extends reading from Monday through Saturday, including supplements. The weekend edition, meanwhile, remains tailored for those who want the essentials without the obligation of a daily read.
Many subscribers appreciate this format as much for the quality of its supplements as for the newspaper itself. Le Figaro Magazine takes the time for in-depth investigations and major interviews, while Madame Figaro blends society, fashion, and culture. This diversity of tones transforms Saturday reading into a special moment, far removed from the constant stream of news. You can follow the week’s major stories, as well as a report from abroad, a literary event, or a lifestyle feature—all without having to buy multiple issues at the newsstand.
