Sciences du design is a biannual international journal, the first dedicated to design research. It publishes work on all aspects of design, regardless of approach and speciality. The journal is distributed online on the Cairn portal and published by the Presses Universitaires de France. It is supported by various partners such as the Geneva University of Art and Design.
The disciplines invited to participate are in the field of design as well as its auxiliary sciences. For example, articles feature work in philosophy, psychology, sociology, anthropology, ICST, semiotics, history and management sciences. Because aesthetics is an important and diverse field, Sciences du Design is a reference publication that brings together all of the discipline’s numerous considerations, to the benefit of its readership.
It publishes two issues a year, in spring and autumn. The first corresponds to a theme led by a Guest Editor. The second refers to a Varia issue and features a wide diversity of research.
Sciences du Design is a place of exchange for the research community, a place of inspiration for actors and professionals, and a place of mediation for the public in general.
