UNI-Presse will be present at the World Congress of the Fédération Internationale des professeurs de français (FIPF). UNI-Presse will have a stand presenting the world of French magazine and newspaper publishing. About 70,000 teachers, and 165 associations from all round the world will be taking part in the World Congress in Quebec from July 21-25, 2008. The World Congress is part of celebrations marking the 400th anniversary of the founding of Quebec.

 

The theme of the FIPF Congress focuses on keeping French-speaking identity alive and vibrant: "Faire vivre les identités francophones". The many participating teachers already have in common their great love for the French language, but they come from many different countries, each of which represents different challenges. The themes that will be explored at the Congress cover the sociopolitical, didactic and pedagogic, cultural and literary challenges. The participants will also consider the challenges and opportunites offered by new technologies.
