UNI-Presse in Algeria

UNI-Presse was one of the exhibitors at the 13th Algiers International Book Fair (SILA; Salon International du Livre d'Alger) which took place from October 27 to November 5.

UNI-Presse was one of the exhibitors at the 13th Algiers International Book Fair (SILA; Salon International du Livre d'Alger) which took place from October 27 to November 5. This has become one of the world's leading book fairs. The theme of the Book Fair was literature for children and young people, under the slogan "Read me a book".

It included presentations of novels, stories, comics strips, and other popular works, all designed to be both educative and amusing. This was helped by the many appearances of personalities from the world of literature, art and science, who took part in conferences, debates, leading workshops, as well as signing sessions. In 2007, the Fair attracted more than 300,00 visitors, making SILA one of the world's busiest Book Fairs.

The UNI-Presse stand presented more than 250 titles, most of them specialist magazines. A particularly attractive feature was the offer of a special subscription to the "Weekly Section" (from Le Monde group).

The UNI-Presse presence was assured by our local representative, Mrs Radia ABED, and her daughter Rabia ABED.
