Rue Descartes is dedicated to covering the ongoing and often unnoticed work of philosophy, and to prolonging the numerous seminars and colloquia held at the Collège international de philosophie. Each issue is built around a particular question, a features section, and the presentation of "an artist's worshop." The review not only presents the work of well-known philosophers, but also invites its readers to discover new ones. Today's multicultural Europe requires more translation than ever before; this, too, is part of the journal's aim.
